We enjoyed our stay at the Ballard Inn except for the housekeeping. Our room was charming and there were two bathrooms located conveniently across the hall. However, we didn't receive clean towels for two days in a row so it was difficult to dry off after showers. Management asked that wet towels be placed in a hamper in the bathroom. After our showers on the first morning we put our wet towels in the hamper and received new towels in our room. But the following two days, we didn't receive more towels and had to make do with hand towels. We would stay at the inn again and hope for fresh towels!

We stayed at the Hotel Ballard for a wedding. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing! The wedding was beautiful and the food was incredible. The location was great - so many things to do nearby. Would definitely come back. The only caution we would note is the water temp in the shower wasn’t consistent. It would fluctuate from hot to cold like someone flushed a toilet. But even with that we would come back!

I might not have left this review, but the hotel sent an email reminding me that they were a luxury hotel and appreciated the feedback on social media. This hotel was chosen because my client ( I'm a travel advisor) formerly lived in Seattle and wanted to show his new bride his old neighborhood. This is a shorter summary of a letter sent to them: I just received the request for feedback and to post comments on social media. Sadly, I cannot say great things about you on my agency portal or on social media. My client reported that the suite was great, and thank you for letting him check in early. However, from an agent's perspective your non responsiveness to 3 (2 to reservations and one to sales) emails sent alerting you to his arrival, the fact that it was the first night of his honeymoon, and asking for information about placing some champagne and a charcuterie board or snack etc in his room was frustrating. I finally called and spoke to a chilly (cold?) woman the day before arrival, who explained the hotel restaurant was closed and a welcome snack would not be possible- just some prosecco. When I asked for recommendations for a vendor in the neighborhood she might be aware of who could deliver something, I was basically told to google it. I would not think that my request was unusual, but it is unusual for a 4 star hotel to have no recommendations of service providers for something like this. As for an early arrival, I was told to call back the next day with no offer of making a note for the reservations team.I don't usually reach out to a hotel booked through Expedia Taap but since you were not in our portal, and I was booking your most expensive $600 suite I felt an exception could be made to ask you to recognize his newly wed status.I communicate with a lot of hotels, and the service and sense of welcome you provided was disappointing. Luxury has as much to do with communication and a sense of caring about customers as it does from your sheet thread count.

The lobby was quite understaffed, resulting in a 30 minute wait to check into the hotel. While the atmosphere was nice, the entire fourth floor was vibrating to loud music from an event happening on the rooftop pavilion until 11:00 pm. Once the DJ stopped, but staff was breaking down tables and moving furniture for another 90 minutes. The hotel did not make any compensations for this. The garage parking is only made for very compact cars. Park somewhere else. For the amount that we paid, this was unacceptable service. Do not stay on the fourth floor of this hotel. Do not park in their garage.

On the plus side, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, there was a wedding on one of the nights of my stay. My experience that night was awful. The music was so loud my bed vibrated. When the music finally stopped at 11:00, there was about a half hour of what sounded like furniture being moved– loud bangs and scraping. Unlike larger hotels, this hotel is not able to isolate the disruption from special events. I will never stay here again on a night there is an event.
