tripadvisorI worked with Bruce to arrange this trip for my parents. Bruce was fantastic to work with and my parents had a truly fantastic experience with Tony the tour guide. I am extremely grateful to the expertise, kindness and professionalism of Touch the Southwest and would recommend to anyone. -John, Colorado Springs
MoreThank you for providing my family with a wonderful experience to the High Road to Taos, Chimayo, and Taos Pueblo Tour. This tour was the highlight of our family vacation with an exceptional tour guide Tony. He made us feel very comfortable and provided us with first class service. The lunch was delicious, and the brownies were so good! I would highly recommend this company for your family trip to Santa Fe. Thanks again, for everything!
MoreWe have visited Machu Picchcu and other mysterious ancient sites and our trip to Chaco Canyon was just as powerful as those visits. I believe a day trip is is one of the best ways to visit this testimony to the intelligence and skill of ancient native people. Our guide was very knowledgeable and our lunch was delicious. Finally, do your vehicle a favor and ride in a comfortable van over the rough road that leads to this unmissable ancient attraction.
MoreWe very much wanted to go to Chaco canyon on our New Mexico trip but didn’t want to drive on the unimproved roads with our rental. We were happy to find this tour provider. Ed was our guide and he made the trip. Chaco canyon is a bit more than a 3 hour drive from Santa Fe and we were not looking forward to it. Ed made the time fly with his cultural historical and geologic information which was fascinating. When we got there we went to the visitors center for an overview of the area and it’s possible uses. We had heard most of this already from Ed. None of the artifacts from this site were displayed as the New York metropolitan museum won’t return them until they are satisfied the center can preserve them. We took a short hike and viewed one of the lesser sights then Ed went back to get lunch while we hiked to some petroglyphs. Lunch was very good. Then we went to Puebla Bonita and the great kiva. Without Ed’s great narration the site would not have been nearly as engaging. This is a major site and we saw several Native Americans there to pay their respects to the ancient site. Because it is so remote we saw very few people here which is a shame. If you do decide to make the trip I heartily recommend that you use this tour company to get the most from your visit
MoreI can’t say enough how much I thoroughly enjoyed the day trip, our guide Tony, and the picnic lunch! My husband and I decided to do a day trip to Chaco Canyon as we heard about the rich history and opted for a tour since we knew the last 20 miles was on gravel. Totally glad we didn’t drive there. Manu positive things to review:1) Very comfortable and clean car. The car was literally spotless.2) Very knowledgeable guide. Our guide Tony was super friendly but also knew a lot about Santa Fe, Chaco Canyon, and the history of the area. We learned a lot about the Pueblo structures and how they would have lived. He was also great at painting a picture of how it would have looked. He has also read an extensive amount about Chaco Canyon.3) Very tasty picnic lunch. I’m used to eating sandwiches or trail mix when I go to National Parks but this meal was above and beyond our expectations. We had seasoned chicken, pasta, salad, fruit, brownie, and chips and salsa. 4) Friendly owners. I talked to Brenda over the phone to book this tour. She was very helpful and explained what we should expect and bring with us.Highly recommended!
