We went to the Conservatory last night for It's a Grand Night for Singers. It is a show that has been going on for many, many years. They had 5 singers last night and each one did about 2 numbers. It was an entertaining evening. Most entertaining was the leader who is also the piano player. He is gracious and incredible talented in music. A fun evening for $20 and recommended. The occurs the first Saturday night of every month.

Unique local conservatory in an old stone building having excellent seating for about 200 persons and excellent staging. It has a patio that is a garden for intermission breaks. They show art films on Saturdays usually at 4pm and 7 pm which may last 2-3 hours. The first Sat night is an interesting Sing Along with about 6-8 singers doing classical and show music. There is a talented pianist who has been host to this show for over 20 years and has helpful comments to make about the music. The ending is having the audience join in singing a song together - like America the Beautiful. We viewed an excellent film - The Fencer and also Belle and Sebastian -recently and there is a program agenda for about 2 months which includes opera films and other foreign art films. There is easy parking next to the Conservatory and good handicapped parking and accessibly to the theater. It is just a couple of blocks north of the center of Napa. The conservatory has excellent seating and all seats have good views and the film projections are excellent. An excellent cultural experience
