Alan was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and characters of Santa Fe and has written two books on the subject. He was prompt and interesting, showed us hidden plazas and recommended good restaurants.

We are 3 retired couples who enjoy learning from local guides wherever we travel. We have had some wonderful tours in the past, and we all y this was one of the best we’ve ever had! Our guide was Sita- I highly recommend you request her! She was beyond delightful! She gave us the equivalent of 3 college credit hours in her two hour tour! She was thoughtful about seeking shade, explaining how multi- layered components of Santa Fe’s history tied together, and kept walking to a minimum. Downtown Santa Fe History Walk. What a great way to start our Santa Fe visit. Sita started us with an orientation to the history of Santa Fe along with a map while we were seated in the hotel. Each place we stopped, she kept us comfortably in the shade. It added so much to our stay to understand the 5 layers of history and to see her historic photos. I loved stopping in the hacienda with the Manhattan Project history and the collection of Edward Curtis photos. I highly recommend this tour.

We did Canyon Road Art Tour with Sita. Santa Fe’s art culture is unique and not to be missed when visiting. Sita provided so much history and perspective which gave us a much greater appreciation of the many galleries. This is a great tour regardless of your art background and knowledge.
