What a wonderful gallery, a beautiful space and a nice variety of shows.We just saw Inner Worlds and Everyday War and thoroughly enjoyed both of them.The staff are helpful and friendly, this place needs to be on your radar!

The space is neat and the architecture is interesting but I felt the exxhibits didn’t really grab me. Maybe it was the layout or the lighting but I kinda wandered around without much to hold my attention. Nice for a quick stop though if you’re in the area. Not really a place to linger too long.

The is no doubt a fine collection but I was not allowed into the museum because I am a type 1 brittle diabetic. At the entrance I requested an exception to be allowed to carry a small amount of food and glucose tablets with me. The Director smiled at me and said, “I’m sorry we can’t let you in with any food”.

Wrightwood 659 has four floors of beautifully designed exhibition spaces. Contemporary art shines in the warm, spacious galleries. I used the handsome staircases, which offered birds eye views of the next art I was about to see. Not too big and not too small, Wrightwood 659 is perfect for an afternoon of art appreciation.

A beautiful museum created in a completely renovated apartment building on a quiet city side street makes an excellent destination for art lovers. Reservations required.
