This hike offers some shade so it is bearable on a hot day.The loop from trails 28 to 111 to 533 is a 7.2 mile loop with about 1200 foot elevation change. For me it was 20,733 steps and 27 floors. My heart rate got to maximum a couple of times so I had to stop for a breather. I am the smallest hiker in the group so I have a hard time keeping up with their larger strides. However, it is gorgeous and breath taking when you get to the apex. The trip from there still has more climbing but not as tough as the initial part. For intermediate and above.
