Gan Avraham Preschool has served Oakland families from our Grand Lake location since the 1980s. We're a small, warm Jewish preschool for children ages 2–5, with just 52 spots across three classrooms—small enough that every child is truly known. Our twelve experienced teachers bring remarkable stability and love to their work, with low turnover that means real continuity for your child. We weave Jewish values, traditions, holidays, and Hebrew into everyday play, making Jewish life feel joyful and natural. Families across the spectrum of observance—including interfaith and those new to Jewish community—are warmly welcomed. More than a preschool, Gan Avraham is a community where children build their first friendships and families find belonging. Generations of East Bay families have called us home.
