Celebrating over 70 years serving families in Oakland, Broadway’s play-based programs reflect the belief that every child is unique. We combine child-centered learning with parent enrichment, cultivating a committed community that offers families a bedrock of support, knowledge-sharing and friendship. Our class sizes are small. The student-teacher ratio in our preschool classrooms is approximately 6:1 and the student-adult ratio in the toddler program is no more than 3:1. Experienced teachers work to help each child develop competency in the social, emotional, intellectual, and creative dimensions that make the whole child. We offer both half-day and full-day schedules for 3 to 5-year-olds, up to 5-days/week, and a parent-toddler program for 2-year-olds that meets Tu/Th, 9:30 to 11:30.
