tripadvisorWhat a difference 4 years makes. Today we saw a good portion of the center section torn down and fenced in and the remaining shops consolidated to one section that does give it a little better look. Hopefully the other area will be developed soon and the rest of Rockvale will survive. We still found some nice shops in Reading China & Glass, Rawlings, Christmas Tree Hill, Lee-Wrangler and a few more.
MoreWe found this particular area several years ago. You love the reading China and glass shop is something that we can't find at home. And the prices are reasonable. And there's always Necco wafers to purchase when you check out. And around the corner is a Disney store also which always has a good buy or two.
Moreplace is just about abandoned. Many stores moved over to the expanded Tangers outlet complex just down the road on Rt 30.
MoreI am in Lancaster for Black Friday and planned on hitting the outlets. I went to the Rockvale Square outlet and to say that I was disappointed would be an understatement. Half the outdoor strip mall was vacant and the other half had two outlets, Crate and Barrel and Oshkosh. They had a store geared towards baseball bats (forgot the brand, begins with a P. They had a Cracker Barrel, I have that back home in NY. If you’re looking for a true outlet mall, like Tangers, skip Rockvale Square.
MoreThis is a run down version of a once great looking place. However. We totally enjoyed the ax throwing location and had a blast !! We also enjoyed the Pepperidge farm outlet and qvc outlet as well as several others. It was a fun and not crowded getaway for a Saturday afternoon
