It was October 31, 2024 (Halloween) and my husband and I were with another couple. Julie was dressed with a black Spanish veil. The stories she told were fascinating and backed by historical data. She knows so many stories that we only got a smidgen of what she knows. Some things/occurrences cannot be explained. Bottom line: no one wants to be forgotten and everyone has a story to tell.

This tour was way overpriced and overcrowded. We went on Halloween weekend. The woman who lead the tour was from out of town and didn't seem to know much other than the scripted tour. There were at least 20 people on our tour, including dogs and kids. The tour guide was soft spoken, boring and didn't even wait for the entire group to catch up with her before she started talking. It was hard to hear or understand what she was saying because of kids and people talking. Which was probably a benefit. Her story telling was as boring as sitting in a history class with an 80 year old teacher. Just a memorized script. Oh and the protection gift was a bag with a bunch of cheap rosaries and halloween candy. She never said what was to be done with the rosaries, since we are not catholic I gave them to the thrift store. We were very disappointed. Read the books on Santa Barbara Ghost History and save yourself a lot of frustration and money.

Julie is the best ghost tour guide I have ever had. She is a college professor and well known in the community so she knows the history pretty well. Whenever residents have “special” incidents they contact her. So, she knows of several stories to tell. In addition, people have shared some video footage of some paranormal activity in the city. I highly recommend going on her tour.

Julie is simply amazing! She is knowledgeable, has many stories to share & provides a great tour of historical Santa Barbara. She loves what she does & this is apparent during the tour. This tour is not to be missed.

My wife and I had the VIP ghost tour with Julie and we really did get the VIP one on one treatment. Dinner was wonderful and the ghost stories and conversation was even better! Very nice for a date night as well!
