Pros: We could not have been happier with this exceptional stay! The hotel is a beautifully restored Victorian house run by two sisters who are incredibly nice and welcoming. The room was extremely clean and thoughtfully stocked with every single amenity you could possibly think of. The hospitality was so wonderful that even the other guests were very pleasant. As a massive bonus, we were surprised to find that the Detroit baseball stadium was within easy walking distance. Cons: Parking is located across the street, which is standard for a historic property and caused us no issues at all.Overall: A perfect memorable experience that was the highlight of our travels.

We stayed here for three nights coming from Canada to watch an NFL game. By far the best stay anywhere, ever. We chose to stay at this bed and breakfast over a hotel which is where we typically stay when we travel, we chose it based on the reviews and wanting to be tucked away from downtown but still close to all things downtown. This location is perfect and is walking distance to everything downtown Detroit has to offer. Walking distance to all sporting arenas.The hostesses Rica and Cina are the most lovely sisters who welcomed us upon arrival, showed us their property and made us breakfast every morning. Thank you!Breakfast was delicious, every morning. We had their homemade biscuits which were unlike anything either of us have ever had before. Fluffy and sweet with a little crisp on the outside, like a tasty little donut cloud.We had the largest room of 3. Ours had a steam shower, a beautiful leather couch, tons of storage and a huge TV. The bed was super soft and very comfy with lots of great pillow choices. They let us peek in the other rooms as they were all vacant and they were just as beautiful. I noticed they all had huge soaker tubs. Book this place over a hotel, you will not be disappointed. Our stay at The Cochrane was a fantastic experience. Francina greeted us warmly and showed us to our room, even though we were hours early for check-in, and the warmth remained across our two nights, making me want to move in and be best friends with Francina and Roderica. Rooms are cozy with ridiculously luxe appointments and fixtures and lovely toiletries. The common areas are beautiful and plush with gentle scented candles. And best of all for me, a jazz aficionado, mid-60s Herbie Hancock and Miles Davis playing softly. Out stay at The Cochrane was beyond memorable, and we greatly look forward to returning.

Bar-none the best b & b experience in in 19 years! Husband & I came from the Thumb for our 11 year anniversary. These ladies are where it's at! Hospitable & kind....I can't say enough! Breakfast was off the hook!!! Very clean. The entrance & entire main floor is so welcoming. We were made to feel like family

We had the most fantastic stay for three nights at Rica and Cina’s Luxury Inn. We were greeted by both ladies upon arrival. The house, beautifully restored, had everything we needed. The breakfasts in the morning were cooked to perfection and different every morning. There was a coffee machine available 24/7 along with water bottles and snacks. Anything needed was answered immediately. We ordered some of the add-ons which were perfect – chocolate covered strawberries, a birthday cake, and even s’mores makings. The room was spacious, the bed was so comfortable, the lighting was great, had a huge TV. The bathroom’s steam shower was great. The location was so easy to get to and parking is so easy and included. If you ever need to go to any sport event or concert, their place is right there. We will definitely visit again and look forward to visiting Detroit another time.
