Passing through Kensington, I decided to stop and try my luck rather than slogging through to Solano Avenue, where there is a greater concentration of dining options. Glad I did. Kensington itself just makes me think of a small village hidden away in a mountain pass. So, the ambiance is already securely quaint... At that moment, I don't think anything could have satisfied me more than beer-battered white fish with a smidge of vinegar. Out-fricken'-standing! I washed it down with an icy cold Lagunitas IPA and my senses were perfectly sated.... The friendly service, warm ambiance, and combination of flavors, made for a sensory experience that has persisted through this moment.
