Great music in a classic semi open air playhouse. Both classical chamber music and jazz are featured. The town is charming and well worth a visit from Philadelphia.

Mt. Gretna is a lovely wooded community of quaint Victorian cottages, and Gretna Music is an outdoor venue, a sort of mini-Wolftrap, located there. It provides a diverse range of music, from classical to jazz, to international, and genres which defy categorization. I attend most of these reasonably-priced concerts every summer, and even when I think I might be taking a chance on an unfamiliar artist or group, I have always been delighted with the quality of the performances.

Gretna Music is one of the big reasons I moved to the area. The programming of classical music is great, the town is charming, and the people are friendly and warm.

A few different groups present in this venue, the Mt. Gretna Playhouse. Gretna Music presents first-rate chamber music, jazz, world and other genres. They also offer a free concert at local park and offer free children’s programming. They run from June-September. The Playhouse is partof the PA Chautauqua.
