tripadvisorWent early to get cafe au lait and beignets at cafe du monde and after went for a stroll through the park. It. Is. Gorgeous. The beautiful old trees, the well manicured grounds, the flowers and landscaping, the ponds and waterways were beautiful. It was very close to my favorite thing on this vacation. Lots of runners, bikers, dogs, and families. We got there too early to enjoy the other buildings, but there is a children’s museum, the NOMA, and a sculpture garden. So much to do and see in such a beautiful peaceful place. Would highly recommend to anyone heading to NOLA.
MoreI have been going to City Park since I was a small child. I’m 47 now and brought my children there too. We visited the park yesterday for my nephews birthday and I have to say I’ve never been more disappointed in the way my family and I were treated. The workers were rude and we even caught one of them napping. They looked miserable and I understand that it was hot but no reason to be rude or snappy. I love this place and I feel like it’s going downhill. Three of the rides were out and there are no fountain drinks. A lot of the employees were on their cell phones and not paying attention. They looked miserable. Eye rolling, no smiling, dragging ass. I’m usually not one to complain but damn I had to say something. I really didn’t mind the broken rides or fountain drinks being out bc it’s not expensive to get in. It was the treatment of the customers. It was horrible. Management needs to step up and talk to their employees.
MoreA roll through City Park of New OrleansI found the City Park in New Orleans to be impressively clean and well-maintained, with many unique elements across its vast footprint, including swans, geese, and the New Orleans Museum of Art. While not particularly spectacular, it’s a large, manicured public park that offers a serene experience. However, its massive and spread-out layout can be challenging for electric wheelchairs, so plan accordingly.#tysadventures25 #bktyontheroadagain #bknomadnesstraveltribe #nola #citypark #neworleansmuseumofart
