tripadvisorArrived Friday night to try out the bars and especially the irish pub this was closed for private event thats fine im glad they are in business making money but most the other businesses are shut or gone its so sad to see the once thriving magical gem of a place gone. Hopefully the locals start using this area again and pump some money in to it. (If you dont use it you loose it) 15 yrs ago the hotels wore full and bars restaurants were buzzing now just dated and dead
MoreThe area is very quiet and relaxing, not anything like the experience of staying in downtown Las Vegas. So if the lights, action and atmosphere is what you’re looking for then you shouldn’t consider staying in Lake Las Vegas area. But if you’re looking for something that is close enough to the action but doesn’t have the noise and the people then this is the best option. The condo we stayed in had lake and village views and was very clean, comfortable and affordable. Cheaper than a hotel. The food at the restaurants was excellent. The village even had a band playing on a floating stage. Wow!!!!!
MoreWe picked this property because it was a Hilton. We were terribly disappointed in so many things. We stayed four nights, have never been to the area, and were looking forward to exploring the area and enjoying the resort. It’s 30 minutes or so from the strip so it’s quiet, it felt very safe, and was easy in and out. The outside property itself is gorgeous and in its prime I’m sure was breathtaking. However, the railings have rusted, the walkways are dirt, the architecture is deteriorating, the parking structure is huge and in poor shape. The walkway to and from the hotel is disgusting. When we checked in we were told the fitness center had limited hours. This was a surprise because when we booked the room, we left a message asking if it was a 24/7 center and we didn’t get a response. The woman said we could walk in the village. Again having never been there we had no idea what she was referring to. It would be great hospitality for this hotel to give guests an overview of the property upon check in. For example it would be great to have been given a map of the property, told to park in self parking, level 4, told us about the connection of the village shops, what you can do on the lake., where the restaurant is and what to,e they serve. There is no coffee available anywhere until 6:30 unless you use the coffeemaker in the room and that’s great, but we had a defective one. We told the front desk and we were told they would replace it. That did not happen until our second request the next day. Our room was on the first floor and everyday we had bugs to contend with. They were not only in our room but in and near the elevators. We complained that our toilet kept running and the right sink didn’t drain properly. Again we were told maintenance would handle it. That never happened. Probably the worst thing about the hotel and village area was a faint sewer smell. I don’t know how a resort can stay open and not offend its guests. It was always present in the lobby, hallways, the village shopping area, and when we entered the restaurant downstairs. As soon as a door is opened to come inside you can smell it. On a good note, we had a great experience in the food service areas. Sarah was our breakfast server and she was awesome. The food was delicious and overpriced, but we expected that for a resort. The gal (sara) in the pool bar area was also delightful. I’m sure the village area was nice in its day as well, but many shops are unoccupied or closed Monday and Tuesday. The restaurants available open at 11am or 4pm. The casino is closed and again, the sewer smell was not pleasant. Bottom line for us….we would not choose this property again. It was very disappointing for a Hilton property. The staff seem to just go through the motions and we didn’t feel like a valued guest. When we checked out the front desk never even asked how our stay was. He was concerned about the printer not working and balancing his numbers.
MoreI really enjoyed myself the few times I went. Beautiful scenery. What I didn't like is the parking garage area is very dirty. The elevators and surrounding area are not very clean. If it was one time ok but since I've been numerous times in a very short period. They definitely are not keeping those areas clean. They need to send a cleaning crew to each level and do a good scrubbing.
MoreAwesome place to relax and enjoy the gorgeous lake views of this little hidden gem really close to Las Vegas, NV
