Ventured to a Mahler Catharsis performance and thoroughly enjoyed it. Usually I think of Mahler as deep and brooding but this performance was energetic and clean. What was most memorable was the adagietto for his wife Alma. A wonderful sensitive movement. Aside from the divisive introductory inappropriate political comments, a great evening.
