I ordered a book online and discovered when it arrived that: 1. it was damaged, and 2. the price was significantly higher than the list price on the book. I was gifting the book to a friend and did not have time to send it back, but I did contact the store for a partial refund to reflect both the pricing and the damage. My contact was answered with a total refusal. This is another example of the small business trap of gaining a sale and losing a customer. Definitely, do not buy online from this vendor, as they will dump damaged items on you at inflated prices.

Cool local bookstore with a good selection of both classics and new books. Friendly staff. Parking wasn't bad but you probably will need to find street parking.

In true Nob Hill fashion, Organic Books is small, vut well outfitted in its niche. Wirth a visit, but don't expect to spend a lot of time here.

Nice bookstore with a good variety in all genres. The staff is very friendly and was helpful in trying to find a book for me. They also take trade in which I used as credit towards my new find.

This is a newer place, located on the edge of Nob Hill, who concentrates on new titles by Local/SW authors, and also have a wide selection of used titles and more of the ephemera one finds in bookshops these days. The store is organized in an interesting way, and the staff is helpful and knowledgable. Street parking.
