If you like Nazis. Then Hamtramck is the vacation spot for you! Lots of poor uneducated folks to show you Waffle Houses and walmart locations. The people there smell really bad too. I dunno if there was some type of ecological disaster there?

This place is great very different then your normal hotel or hostel. I've stayed here a few times and it's be alot of fun each time. And hammtramck is a cool little town inside of Detroit... Who knew?B

Was meant to be staying here for five nights left after one. Place is absolutely filthy and not safe especially for a solo female traveller. First room I was given was downstairs, with a window and a curtain that would barely stop people seeing in. Was then moved upstairs to a room that had dirt and crisps on the floor and the trash can wasn’t even emptied. Even for a hostel this is really bad. Tried to speak to owner was just given a phone number to contact him on but no response

I have nothing but high praise for the Hamtramck Hotel. I was in town to attend a funeral and this place had the right vibe. Everyone was chill and friendly. My room was spacious and comfortable. I especially appreciated the backyard where I was able to watch the fireflies. The vibe is an urban and connected vibe as the hostel is within walking distance of cheat eats, groceries, and whatever. And, yes, I did buy the t-shirt! This is the kind of place that I am proud to gas them up wherever I wear their shirt. Thanks, Scott, for a great hostel experience!

I loved this place. It was quite far from downtown attractions but Uber is well established here and it was not a problem to get around.I had a private room so it was nice to be able to have privacy when I wanted it. It was also nice to mingle with the other residence and I made some good friends and had some great nights out with them.The neighbourhood is pretty safe and I felt totally comfortable as a single female going out very early in the morning and comming back late at night.The management were really helpful. Great place to stay.
