I was pleasantly surprised! The location of West Springfield is convenient to I90 and I91. It was much less expensive to stay here than closer to Northampton for our foliage trip. The check-in staff was gracious and professional. A well-stocked snack store including beer and wine. A bar open til 10pm (doubles as breakfast and coffee place in morning). Our two queens room was spacious and clean and perhaps we had a suite bc it included fridge and microwave. But even the snack area has a microwave and actualSturdy paper plates you can use to heat up leftovers from eating out! A clean gym with cardio machines, kettlebells, free weights and a tower. A decent pool from what I could see. Overall a very pleasant experience!!

I stayed at a previous hoI had been staying at another hotel but was unable to extend my stay due to limited availability caused by two weddings. Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was disappointing, especially considering the higher price. The staff came across as unfriendly and unwelcoming, the shower was poorly designed and caused water to spill everywhere, and there was no complimentary breakfast despite the high room rate. To make matters worse, there was no conditioner provided in the bathroom, and the bedsheets were stained.Overall, I expected a much higher standard of service, cleanliness, and amenities from a hotel carrying the Marriott name. Unfortunately, this experience fell well short of my expectations and was not worth the price.tel a

At check-in, we were thanked for being platinum Bonvoy members and given points as a welcome, but most properties tend to give water and a little snack of some sort so that seemed like a bit of a miss. The woman at the desk was polite though not friendly. She did smile when she said “have a blessed evening” which made it feel a bit religious (we are not). The room was clean and in good condition. The layout was kind of strange, the door is behind you as the bed faces forward toward the window. The little sofa is diagonal and the tv is more across from it- I don’t watch tv in hotels but for those who do, you may not like this as you can’t watch easily from bed.The air conditioning unit is very loud and makes a buzzing sound, which was quite annoying. The foam headboards are a little odd, but the bed is comfortable enough. The bathroom was clean and had soap, lotion, and a makeup wipe, so that was decent. The shower is one of the kind that has a half door which doesn’t close across the whole shower, so water goes everywhere in the bathroom. The smoke alarm has a flashing light to it, it’s very bright when flashing in the dark room. The clock radio has a built-in light that doesn’t turn off so it is impossible to get a fully dark room. The lobby is clean and looks well-kept. The elevator is slower than it should be for a building of this size. The location is along a busy road, so it’s loud at times and if your room is at all facing the direction of the road, prepare to be awakened by 6am. On a more positive note there wasn’t any noise heard from the rest of the hotel- we were on the second floor. Now for the very upsetting part of our stay: our vehicle got keyed in the parking lot!! The damage is severe and will exceed our insurance deductible. The hotel has no security cameras outside so we’ll never know who did this. The hotel called the police for us so we could put in a report, at least to document what happened. The morning staff were apologetic and kind, but I guess it’s “park at your own risk.” With our Bonvoy membership status I thought maybe at least they would offer points, but they did not.Next time we’re in town, we will go back to the Residence Inn by Marriott Springfield Chicopee, where we’ve stayed in the past. We wanted to give another property a try since it’s slightly closer to where we were heading, but would rather go to the residence inn where breakfast is free, they have free cookies, and we’ve never been vandalized! For over $220 per night, we did not feel this Courtyard was a good value.

Drunk guy sitting outside side door when I arrived in from a late flight. No one at the front desk. Room smelled terrible. Dirty walls. Hair on bathroom floor and tub. No hot or warm water from the sink or shower night or morning. Air conditioning was so loud all night. Room was so humid. Hennessy bottle smashed in parking lot next to my rental car in the morning. Do not stay here. Dirty and did not feel safe.

We were driving up to Maine and this was just a stop over. Perfect for that. Room was great bed comfortable. And breakfast the next morning served by Anna was lovely. Anna was a lovely engaging host and started our morning with her chatty conversation just perfect. Thank you Anna. X
