Reviews
tripadvisorIt's a run down hotel with lots of hidden add on fees. All the reviews are accurate.Don't do it !!!!!
MoreExcellent service housekeeping, front desk Jessie his name was very friendly except the front desk lady in day time is not friendly.
MoreNot luxury but comfortable. Staff were great. Good kitchen setup. Room 206 was away from the nightclub noise.
MoreI was pleasantly surprised in the end. When I first arrived I was shocked we had a queen size Murphy bed and an outdated bathroom (I booked through RCI and only knew I was getting a studio) However, everything was clean and location, location, location! Excellent food steps away. On the pink line trolley route and a short walk to the other lines if you want to skip catching the pink line. Parking was a big issue. I had always rented a car on other islands. We managed to snag free parking on the canal and ended only paying about $25/week on meter vs $45-47/day. Staff was wonderful and they loan out beach equipment. We were able to get beach towels, backpack beach chairs, cooler, and umbrella. Walk to Waikiki beach isn’t bad but we drove a little further to spend a wonderful day at Kailua Beach. I would go back and would have to reconsider if I wanted a rental car. Since it was our first Oahu trip and we explored a lot-no regrets. Kuhio Banyan ended up being a diamond in the rough. Stated 5/2-5/9/26
MoreIf you want a very dated room in a good location, lots of noise from unruly guests and the club downstairs, rude service, and to be charged a gratuitous smoking fee of $250 even though you didn't smoke on the premises, choose this hotel. It is what it is though. The staff seems miserable, like they have been stuck there forever and probably will be for life. You would just be a temporary guest, be thankful for that. You can checkout anytime you'd like, but they can never leave.
