My wife found this factory tour and we decided to give it a go. Having been consumers of their products we thought it would be a interesting to see how it was made. We had no idea until we arrived that we were going to get to make our own box of chocolates. Very cool! When we arrived we were greeted with smiles and almost a familiarity like we were old friends. The tour was very informative and interesting. I learned more about the process than I thought possible. The family’s passion for what they do, concern for the future and knowledge was amazing. How often do you get a tour of a factory from the company president?Thank you all! We had a blast and will return.

Again my friend and I were lucky enough to be the only 2 on the chocolate factory tour that day, and also make our own chocolate it was so much fun and educational too! The pineapple snow although not officially chocolate was incredible and the milk chocolate macadamia nut candies were excelent too. The best ingredients too, made on a small scale and real Hawaii grown macadamia nuts! Bought a ton of chocolate home to North Carolina and now eating a box a day!!

Menehune Mac chocolate is outstanding. The Pineapple Snow being near perfection to me -- I would be doomed (very happily so) if the white-chocolate-and-pineapple combination was made into a candy bar! -- but they have several other excellent combinations as well. I'd bought Pineapple Snow and a few of the more usual combinations before from a shop on the other side of the island, but this time I thought the Dark Chocolate Arare -- with salted crispy rice crackers -- was another surprising standout. (I loaded up on a few boxes of that, as well as the Pineapple Snow I came in for.) The factory gift shop is a decent size, and has a wide variety of Menehune Mac chocolates and souvenirs. It seems to be an older place, tucked in an off-the-beaten-path location, but is worth a visit. I wish I'd gotten her name, but the lady who was working the day I went was a joy to talk to -- welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I didn't get to see the factory operating this visit...but I guess that just means I'll have to visit again, right?!

We both picked up a couple bags of cookies and I bought a Loco Moco Belly t-shirt! After this trip, I sure do have a belly....well, a smaller belly (thank you UFC) but I love my tee!!! The people were so friendly and I got a kama'aina...musta been my belly! LOLLLLLL! They have other things as well and it is worth a trip! Mahalo!

Looking for gifts from Hawaii, this factory and gift center is conveniently located just off the freeway on the way to the airport. They have been around for a long time and offer chocolate covered mac nut, candies and buttery passion fruit shortbread cookies that are to die for. Definitely give these guys a try... you will love them!
