Reviews
tripadvisorVery nice stay! Staff very personable.
MoreWe recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn and overall had an okay experience. It wasn’t quite what I expected from a Hilton, but there were definitely some positives. The location is really convenient — close to the freeway, shopping, restaurants, and even an Elmer’s nearby for a good breakfast. Parking is a nice size, although it can get pretty busy at times. The outside of the hotel looks a little older, but the rooms themselves were spacious and very comfortable. It can be a bit noisy outside because of the nearby 24-hour gym, but thankfully you can barely hear it once you’re inside your room if you’re on the right side of the hotel. We did have an ant problem at first, although it eventually got better. For the price and Hilton name, I do think the rooms could be cleaner overall. I’d also skip the guest laundry machines — they weren’t very good. Most of the housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful, which we appreciated. The front desk experience unfortunately wasn’t the best. We had a few issues with incorrect charges on our card, and communication felt a little unorganized at times. The breakfast is also very overpriced for the quality, especially the buffet. Dinner options were decent, though again there were some charging issues. One big highlight was the bartender — he was amazing and made the atmosphere feel welcoming and comfortable. Also, while the little hotel store is pricey, there’s a convenience store nearby which helps. Overall, the location and comfortable rooms were the best parts of the stay.
MoreClean safe and convenient location to lots of restaurants and easy drive into Portland. Front desk staff was all very friendly and helpful. I slept great with comfortable bed and shades that actually block light! My only meh experience was breakfast. It’s about $15-20 plate which I wouldn’t pay for it. It’s bland. Hilton members get a food credit which makes it more reasonable but then you realize (when you read the menu) you only get credit on a Belgian waffle or a yogurt bowl. So even if you get that food credit, go somewhere else for breakfast.
MoreWell we went from a Hilton in Kalispell that was one of the nicest ones we ever stayed at to this place… can’t say it’s the worst we ever stayed at but it’s very very close-first off when your digital key room is a different one then you selected should be a giant red flag-we selected a room at the end of the hall on the top floor only to be sent a digital key for a room in the middle of the hall on the third floor-pointed this out as soon as we checked in and the snarky desk clerk said “you can’t check in the day before” when I said we already selected a room- was told there was a housekeeping issue.. we were given a room on the top floor and it wasn’t even the room type we booked but after a day long drive we were just too tired-we get a food and beverage credit as Diamond members that we planned to use for dinner but were told “the cook stepped away!!” I asked if the dining was even available and the clerk said “I think you can get a couple sides!!!” We had to leave for food which was ok because it gave us the opportunity to purchase some Fabreeze Because our room smelled dank and dirty - best part was the chatting maids who stood outside our door at 7:45 talking as loudly as they could- I was never asked how my stay was but I wasn’t surprised as the two couples in front of me both were complaining- truly awful - stay elsewhere
MoreAll of the employees at the hotel were wonderful, from front desk staff, to the kitchen and dining staff, and especially housekeeping. The building, and the owners choice to let it fall into disrepair, was frustrating. Broken shower fixtures, water coming through ceiling lights, broken curtain pulls, corroded toilet seats, broken window safety stops. On top of all the noise coming through single pane glass, we would choose a different place. The professional and courteous staff do their absolute best, but the physical building is not worth the Hilton name.
