The staff is fabulous from the parking to the front desk to house keeping. We are a local and felt pampered. The front valet crew even did a fabulous magic show for my teenager’s bday!! Thanks Embassy Suites!!

Great place to stay. Valet parking was fast and convenient. Friendly hotel staff, breakfast was filling, location was excellent. We walked to Voodoo Donuts, a yummy dumpling shop is open until 1am and a block away. Portland Art museum and Pioneer Plaza was close enough to walk to as well. Will stay again.

Embassy Suites Downtown is my family's favorite hotel in Portland. Easy to get to from the airport using the Red Line, you walk less than 10 minutes from the stop and you are at the hotel. Voodoo Donuts is across the street, and Mother's Bistro on the ground floor is a great place for any meal of the day. The hotel was built in 1912 as the Multnomah and there are beautiful historic elements all over the hotel- a tiled entrance, balconies, postal boxes by the elevators, the elegant lobby and fireplace, and the pool down in the basement. The front desk staff is always polite and helpful; I would like to commend Kiersten, who we remember from our visits over the years. She is efficient and goes out of her way to make the customer happy with their room. We had an issue and she resolved it immediately. She is a star employee in my opinion! The rooms here are generous and have enough space for a family to spread out. We love the sitting room feature and it really makes our visit feel like we are in a home away from home. Beds are so cozy and comfy I struggle to get up each day! Free breakfast in the mornings is a great way to get a start to the day, also they have a happy hour in the evening with free drinks and light snacks. The hotel is in the walkable downtown area, easy to walk the 15 minutes or so to Pioneer Square, or over to the Pearl District. You can jump on the trains or bus and get anywhere in the downtown area very quickly. We love exploring the city on the public transportation. Rates are affordable and a good value. I can highly recommend this hotel for any Portland visitor! You won't be disappointed!
