tripadvisorI arranged a 4:30 AM taxi pickup to PDX the night before — something any cab company should be able to handle, especially for a time-sensitive airport trip. Dispatch confirmed the booking twice, including again at 3:30 AM.At 4:13 AM, the driver finally called — not to say he was on the way, but to tell me he’d be 50 minutes late. That pushed my new ETA to 5:03 AM for a 7:40 AM flight. At 5:03, there was still no cab. When I called again, the driver said, “2 minutes,” but he didn’t actually arrive until 5:10 AM — a full 40 minutes after the scheduled time. Standing outside with luggage, watching my buffer evaporate before a morning flight, was unacceptable. The fare also turned out to be misleading. I was quoted around $180. The final fare was closer to $220 — already a 22% increase. Then their POS system gave me no option to set or decline a tip — it forced a 20% gratuity, bringing my final charge to over $260. That’s a 44% increase over the quote, with zero transparency. The driver himself was polite and got me there safely, but the core issues are dispatch reliability, fare honesty, and a payment system that takes choice away from the customer. For airport service, those are non-negotiable.If you need a reliable, on-time, fairly priced ride to PDX, look elsewhere. This company failed on all three counts.
MoreBooked a cab the day before I needed it for 6:30am. I got a message at 6:30am(the time they were supposed to be picking me up) that I would now be picked up at 6:52. I called and was told they were short staff that am and the earliest they could pick me up was 6:52. I told them I had scheduled a specific time because I had a flight to catch. I also told them they should have stated that they can’t guarantee a time and in this case I would have made other arrangements. All the guy did was connect me to his supervisor’s voicemail. I left a message and said I wanted a call back. I was not picked up until 7:00am during which time I could have called an Uber and been half way to the airport. I was quoted the ride would be $42 but was charged $47. I wasn’t going to argue with the driver since I was already late. Still waiting on that call……..
MoreCab driver dropped us off where we needed to go after picking us up shortly after we contacted the company. Problem started when we couldn't get the dispatcher to call the cab when my mom realized she'd left her purse 5 minutes after getting dropped off. Dispatcher refused to do anything except send our calls to lost and found voice mail. I explained that my mom needed to get her purse back because we were flying home the next day. Call after call the dispatchers said there wasn't anything they could do.
MoreFirst cab driver started driving before I had my seat belt buckled. He did pull over and help me when I asked. Please make sure you check on your passengers before you pull out.Second cab driver was doing aggresive driving. A lady in front of us was trying to make a turn and he honked at her. His behavior almost caused her to get in a wreck. He did aggressive driving all the way to my house This made me a nervous wreck and I was in tears when I arrived home. Will not use this company again.
MoreI prebooked a cab to pick up at 3:15. Nobody called to say that they weren't going to make it. I will never use Radio Cab again!
