Portland Metro Arts is an independent, nonprofit arts school that offers classes, camps, and performance opportunities in dance, music, theatre, and the visual arts! Our mission is to provide everyone, particularly youth, the opportunity to learn, perform, and experience the arts. Our dance program is the longest-running part of our work, and includes multiple levels of instruction in classical ballet, tap, hip hop dance, and more. We also have a pre-professional dance company - the Metro Dancers - that offers a full season of dance performances including a full-length ballet in the Spring. Our music program offers private and group lessons in piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar, ukulele, trumpet, french horn, flute, and voice. Our theatre program features weekly instruction in drama, as well as a major play in the Winter, and monthly mini-plays. Finally, our visual art program offers a survey in arts styles and techniques, as well as several summer camp options.
