I’m a member of the Chelsea Piers sports club. They just refurbished the pool but if you’re a regular member you get low priority to swim in the pool. They have a gazillion classes at all hours and regular members like me get kicked out of the pool to make way for classes. It can be a severe challenge to get in your laps. Plus the membership fee is super high so the value is questionable.

We attended a family member's wedding here at the Lighthouse at Pier 61, and it was a truly elegant event. There's paid parking here, a coat check room, and plenty of signs to direct the way, and the Lighthouse was truly a stunning venue with a gorgeous view of the water. The staff were polite and efficient, and there was plenty of space for everyone. I only wish that the bathrooms were a bit bigger for the amount of people who could fit in the space. I saw that there are other events in this complex, such as sports fields and fitness classes, so there's something for many people. It's in a very central part of NYC, so it's easy to access, and it's right near the cruise ports.

I am a big fan of rivers and oceans and fried fish!! I will never turn down fish and chips and I know Gordon Ramsay loves them!! I also enjoy fancy seaports and I have been trying to live up to my age since in 30 years I’ll look and feel like a middle aged man instead of being a wild 20 year old!! I went here with some dudes I know from the camp I worked at in the middle of the woods this last summer and went bowling!! A lot of them are full blown adults in their late 20s so some of them were drinking fancy cocktails!! It is easy to get here and if you don’t have a map you just need to walk to the river!! It is very fancy and so all of you should come!!

Went with partner and two teen daughters to the golf club/driving range at Chelsea Piers. Wasn’t busy so walked right in. Cool/fun/unique experience for Manhattan and 4 of us took turns in our box for an hour, which was more than enough for us.
