tripadvisorThis is a small yet very moving memorial in huge Washington park. It's beneath the Rose gardens and you can reach it on foot from them or park right close to it.Moving path to the inscribed wall with a broken suitcase, doll, violin....
MoreVery tasteful memorial in Washington Park. The walkway has sculptures of a broken suitcase, violin, teddy bear, doll and a book. There is a summary of the treatment of Jews in Europe which is informative and lists of people living in Oregon who lost relatives.
MoreThis isn't a large memorial and can be viewed in a few minutes, but it very powerful and extremely well done. The bronze detritus from the slaughtered people is very touching.
MoreVery heartbreaking but beautiful! The memorial is in Washington Park. Lush greenery and nice walking paths. A very beautiful monument to those whose lives were taken during the Holocaust. There were quotes engraved into the wall which gave a small snippet of the tragedy of the event. Nice place for dogs to walk.
MoreJust a short stop in Washington Park...take a moment to remember. The individual bronzes of the shoe, glasses, etc. on the walk put the perspective on the individual...rather than the race.
