The community center was renamed recently but has been around for decades in South Melbourne. It has a large multi-purpose room, a large, dated gymnasium with aging bleachers, a game room, vending machine area, locker rooms, clean restrooms, a commercial kitchen and a computer room. The community center serves many purposes and populations. The rooms are available for rent at reasonable rates. The gymnasium seems to always be open and is used primarily for basketball games. Ample parking area available. The center is a popular afternoon location for neighborhood children to play ball, socialize, do homework, and utilize computers.
