tripadvisorMost of the pop ups still in the lloyd center are great. I bought a needoh for my teen at TADA TOY STORE. It was overpriced and a knock off! BEWARE!
MoreThis mall is derelict. Streets outside filled with trash and homeless people. The mall is about 70 percent empty. Several homeless men approached me for money. u can walk for a good 6 minutes, and everything is closed. What they do have is generic flea market type stores filled with junk. Two men asked me for money as I was in line at DQ. I didn't see any mall security. There are only 2 places open in the giant food court. The DQ was very expensive and didn't even have French fries to go with my combo. Just a little bag of chips. Combo was 9 bucks.Hard to fund bathrooms.Just stay away.
MoreLet me tell ya, you should just go to skate in Beaverton or Vancouver. unlike photos here rink isn’t full size. This place sucks. Staff was rude and matter of fact. Rink is super small and crowded with bad skaters. If you work a 9 - 5, and wanna take your hockey skates out after work don’t go here, they won’t let you. I showed up at 5pm as a single adult and was denyed a skate session because I have hockey skates (there were clearly other single skaters on ice). Place, employees, and crowd are all busters. I’d give it zero out of five stars if I could. Not to mention your car will prolly get broken into while you are here. If your choices were to skate here or give up skating completely. My advice would be to take up a new hobby cause this place and the staff are absolutely worthless. God save the Lloyd center. I remember a time when this place was cool.
MoreHaven't visited Portland for a few yrs, but we were shocked by the state of the whole city, not excluding this mall. This use to be a nice, clean-ish mall. The mall and the whole area has changed. It now smells (inside the mall), there are unsavory individuals parked in the lots. Most look to some degree of homelessness and with some form of mental illness. We think we witnessed shoplifters in the lot ripping of tags of clothes they stole. Another group seemed to be sorting out other goods they stole from a different location but were sorting it out in the parking lot.The inside of the mall seemed like there were security and patrols at every larger store. There is one restroom in the whole mail which is opened for use. The people already n the restroom when I entered all had rolling luggage and seemed to be using the restroom as their own personal facilities with makeup splayed all over the counters and washing up in the stalls and outside. We just felt sad seeing how a nice looking mall seemed to have become a refuge for homelessness and transiency.Portland, we hope you recover from the pandemic. You were a nice city at one time.
MoreI've lived in Portland my entire life, and seeing the decline of one of my childhood malls is absolutely devastating. The recent remodel completely took away most of the character the place had, and now all of the anchors are gone. It's an odd mesh of modern and vintage due to the lack of renovations on the outside. The food court still has a few places to hang out at, but I don't suggest coming here if you aren't planning on just hanging out with friends for maybe twenty minutes. A lot of people in town may tell you there's violence/gang activity, but that is far from correct, as the most people you'll see is maybe a small group of teenagers hanging around in one of the wings. The security officers there are constantly looking for ANYTHING to do, as my partner and I have been escorted because we tried to sit in a chair together because the other chair was soaked with water. If you go here, the few places I suggest checking out are the food court and Suncoast Videos. Suncoast has a lot of neat candy and knickknacks as well as somewhat cheap movies. Other than that, I can only say that Lloyd Center is good for hanging around. However, if you like dead malls or want to see vintage architecture on the outside of the building, I suggest this. Specifically the ex-Nordstrom and Macy's entrances. In short, come here if you like dead malls and vintage architecture (only on the outside though.) Otherwise, you'd be better off going to Clackamas Town Center if you actually wanted the full mall experience.
