This is a small museum, though one docent told us they had 40,000 items in stock. Not many are on display. It is fun to wander around and some of the exhibits are interesting. Honestly, we were a little disappointed but, that said, it is worth some time exploring if you are in Albany.

Who knew that the Hub of the Williamette, industries and commerce, would echo around the world.Lots of things for the kids to do as well, like dress up in period clothing, use a typewriter, and see the toys kids had,way back when.

Went to see a paranormal discussion and was surprised at how much knowledge was available that I never knew about my town. Was some interesting info and I will visit again soon

Very worthwhile time for young & older. Take the short guided museum tour. Amazing what the volunteers do there and learn the process of making the Carousel animals from start up to completion. It's great that families can donate & design the animals to be carved. Fun couple hours!

The Museum does well to document and display local history. The aerial view photo wall from the late 40's is jaw dropping. Also of intrrest is documentation of Albany's unique Railroad history. Bill Maddy also gives yearly trolley tours of Albany explaining how 4 differeny railroads converged at Albany giving it the name Hub City
