We went on the 4th of July early in the morning. We had the beach area to ourselves for about 2 hrs. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful scenery. Plenty of grills and picnic tables and restrooms.

Peaceful beach for relaxing and meditating. Tables and grills for barbecue or a picnic date. A very nice and clean area. I visit this place often. It brings back many happy childhood memories.

Tucked away on the east side of Lake Weir, this strip of sand is a county park, with Picnic tables, charcoal grills, a parking lot, restrooms, and a tollbooth with a sign that says, “please put five dollars per car in the box.“ Seems little used this time of year even on an eighty degree day, but there were footprints in the sand so not unused. No lifeguard, but no prohibition on swimming.
