Slaysman Forge is located right on York Road (MD 45), the main street of Maryland Line. The entrance is in the back, and there is plenty of parking. Products range from the decorative to the functional in iron, stainless steel, bronze, brass, and aluminum. Items are made to order, and orders come from all over the country. For example, the owner was in Wisconsin today. I was interested in getting some patio tables and will email a sketch of my ideas when I get home. I was impressed to find a real blacksmith operation in the 21st century. I was told that by coincidence, there was a blacksmith on the property back in the 1800s. I enjoyed seeing the craftsmanship as well as learning some local history.
