tripadvisorWe loved the Ten Falls Trail. Signage could be better; however, we enjoyed all our time there. Very clean, super nature. People are happy to be there, so very pleasant that way on top of all the natural beauty. There are great waferfalls to see.
MoreThe North Falls is the best one to Visit. it is worth the walk to behind the falls in the open cave. The South falls is good as well but the North falls are better. Note: There is no Cell service at the north parking lot and the parking pass meter only takes cash.Make sure you have your daily or annual Oregon State Park Pass before you arrive.Wear good comfortable shoes.
MoreSo beautiful and worthwhile! Admittedly I was huffing and puffing on the walk to and out of the canyon but the are places to rest. Even with the heat wave there was a decent breeze and plenty of shade from the canopy. I've off the highlights of our visit to Oregon!
MoreAbsolutely stunning. Easy walk short from south falls parking. Beautiful view of falls. If you want to walk behind it. You go down many many stone stairs. Lots. Its wonderful to walk behind falls. Them you walk to lower falls. Quite a hike. More stairs. Many. Down to this falls. Then you cut back at maple it circles canyon. Alot of it is uphill. Of course after all the stairs. Its tough going on rocks. Puddles uneven footing. Up and up. Its beautiful. But take breaks. Then finally back. You have to take trail or go back and go up literally hundreds of stairs. It’s a beautiful place. Signs all over no pets on trail. Tons of dogs anyway. Two lunged at us. Bit with funds cut to the parks there’s no park Rangers there’s nobody to enforce anything.
MoreUnlimited opportunities for photographers. Great use of taxpayer funds to preserve this wonderful area. North Falls, Upper North Falls, South Falls and many others. Some area very easily accessible from the parking areas, and others are more of a hike to get to. Each of the falls that I did get to see were absolutely beautiful and worth whatever amount of time it took to get to; some only a matter of a few minutes and others 30+ minutes. Others that I did not trek to are a more distant hike. The trails were well-kept, parking was plentiful, and the experience overall was wonderful. I would absolutely return to explore more of SIlver Falls State Park. The drive getting there (at least the way I arrived) was also very pretty and worthwhile all on its own. At South Falls is also a Nature Store for souvenirs and gifts where the profits go to support the park itself.
