Such are the surprises you could encounter as you meander the streets downtown for Eugene’s “First Friday Art Walk” – presented monthly by the Lane Arts Council. That’s also when selected galleries and businesses lure you inside with tasty appetizers, wine, featured artists, live music, amazing artwork, & even audience-choreographed dance performances. A handy “First Friday Artwalk Guide” is available online, or at businesses – detailing the featured Artwalk shops, easily referenced on the brochure’s insert with an enlarged street map. You may wander on your own, or join an ArtWalk host to lead you on a guided tour. Sometimes it gets a bit crowed in the stores, but folks are friendly and conversations with strangers come easily. This is a fun stroll you won’t want to miss!
