tripadvisorThe very loud street noise lasted until 3:30 a.m. If you want a restful sleep, look elsewhere. The staff's response to our complaint was It's Wilmington. If I was management, I would insist that local law enforcement enforce the public noise laws.
MoreMy anniversary weekend. The staff were excellent. The service was good. However, the room was tiny. Especially for a suite.
More- No coffee in the room but has extortion prices on garbage drinks and snacks supplied in a cheap fridge. - One chair in room for two people- A package of ear plugs supplied in bathroom area, I guess letting us know it gets noisy- Have to pay for parking, even the hotel parking. Have fun dragging your luggage through gravel and sand, next to shipping containers. Terrible site…- Receptionist made it sound like common knowledge that I needed my license plate number at check-in. - Room does not look like what I reserved.- No elevator, with 3 floors - Thermostat right below air conditioner at the window. It’s somewhat cool in the spot but the rest of the room is humid and warm even when temp is set to lowest setting. Definitely wasn’t 68, more like 78. - You can hear everything the people on the sides and top are doing, especially footsteps - There was a sticky substance all along the bed frame rail- They won’t tell you until you see it on your credit card, but the incidental charge is $100.
MoreSpent two nights here while exploring city for possible relocation in future. Ambiance is lovely. Restaurant and garden very nice and food is good. Service at restaurant is excellent. We did not give more stars due to housekeeping. They left very few and incomplete towel sets. They do not know how to make a bed. The flat sheets are just draped over the mattress and not properly tucked in and are slipping and sliding and bunching up all night. They only do housekeeping after three nights or on request. Which is fine if they tell you but they do not. No sign or mention at check in. We were hot and as I said the bed was a mess and the top sheet had some dirt so we put them on the floor thinking we would get new bedding but they put the old bedding back on and poorly made again. Then the towels. We left our used towels on the floor since they have no place to hang them. We left $5 and asked for extra towels. They gave us a few and left all the dirty towels on the floor, the full trash and the dirty dishes from the night before in the room. All because I did not request housekeeping. We will not be back. I get that I now know we need to request. But they need to learn how to make a bed and use common sense when bedding is on the floor.
MoreThis was an unusual property with several unfriendly quirks. First is parking. It is done across the street in a third party lot. You have to go through a ridiculous procedure to register your car. The hotel should make this easier. Next the room. We stayed in room #35. The front door is 90% clear glass. In order to gain some privacy, you have to pull a drape completely across another glass panel and the door. In the room there is a money making minibar situation with snacks and yet no coffee machine and no access to coffee other than the adjacent restaurant when it is open. Also there is no ice machine. How can you not have an ice machine available for your guest? And why not have one of those automatic coffee machines in the 24-hour open lobby? Very disappointed in this hotel and will not be staying here in the future.
