Wonderful surprise to see this amazing complex of buildings and grounds housing air and space related items. Volunteer staff were so friendly and knowledgeable - they had stories for lots of the collection. We especially enjoyed the private tour of the Spruce Goose (an extra fee). We had a couple of hours to spend but could have spent more and asked more questions. A treasure not to be missed.

This is an amazing place to learn about the history of aviation and the early days of space exploration. Separate galleries on aviation and space hardware, many very historic examples of aircraft (including the famous Spruce Goose - largest wooden plane ever built and flown). The volunteer tour staff are very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. Worth taking a guided tour. Also attached IMAX theater. Exhibit of an early space launch control room is very well done. Great for the family.

I really enjoyed my stop at this Museum. the exhibits were first rate and they had some very unique things. 2 of my favorites were the Gen Marion Carl exhibit featuring the very 1937 Taylor J-2 Cub aircraft that he flew his first solo flight in prior to WW2. The second item that was very rare was a uniform from the American Eagle Squadron. (Prior to the US entering WW2 Those from the US who wanted to fight in the war went to Canada then on to the UK. The Eagle Squadron was made up of American pilots flying for the RAF) The Museum if working on a new exhibit that they hope to have ready for their annual Veterans day Open House. I look forward to going back to see it.

The Oregon Air and Space located in Eugene celebrates Oregon and her aviation heritage. There are a number of informative exhibits on display. Outside was a MiG-17 that was used in airshows. The staff was very informative about the museum. Expect to spend a couple of hours at the museum.

We took a couple classes here and they really enjoyed it. So did the staff. The volunteers that work there were super helpful and nice. They knew so much about the planes and there was a lot of history told to us on our tour. It was well worth it. Bring a few bucks for the donation bin at the gift shop at the end of the tour.
