tripadvisorThe area was fine until we arrived at the Motel 6 itself. There were alot of seedy unsavory looking people wondering about. After we checked in we noticed there was a police car there attending to some situation. On the way to our room there was a man acting strangely in the hallway. There was also alot of dried up vomit in the upper walk way on the second floor near our room. We got inside our room and it was immediately clear that the room was barely put together. The beds were made but the floor was filthy like it hadn't been mopped or swept/vaccumed in some time. The room stank heavily of cigarettes and looked NOTHING like any of the photos provided on Booking.com or Motle 6. com. The floor vinyl floor was cracked in many places and the all of the light fixtures in the room were askew. The bathroom was dirty. It smelled extremly strong of urine. There wasnt any part of the bathroom that was clean. Not the shower, toilet or vanity. The only reason we stuck it out and stayed until 6am was because it was late when we checked in (10pm) and we had our two small children with us who were exhausted. It was scary to have them in this enviornment and if we had the means to leave we would have.
MoreStayed here one night while visiting family because the big Duck game filled the other hotels or they wanted double/triple the price. I thought, how bad can it be? It’s bad. When you walk in, it looks pretty spartan but clean. Suddenly you get hit with a stench of what I can only describe as cat pee and air freshener. The air conditioning did not work and it felt like 100 degrees inside. The thermostat was set at the coldest but it clearly wasn’t working. I tried the tv. It turned on but every channel said they failed to get a signal so…no tv. You can open the windows but you get to hear everyone walking by and they can hear you. It appears some folks use this property as their permanent residence as I observed my room neighbors. The internet password did not work. I tried every variation of the password I was provided that was stamped on the inside of my key wrapper and it would not work. I couldn’t get my phone to work on my cell signal while in my room. I had to walk out and away from my room before my phone could pick up a cell signal so….no internet. I went to my sister’s house and slept there, only returning in the morning for the rest of my things and leave that stinky room. Never again.
MoreThis was hands down the worst experience I have ever had at a Motel/Hotel. There was an error with our reservation - we had two beds and the reservation was modified by a rep at the Motel to a one bed. We had reserved a two bed for two nights. We showed up at 6 PM, where check-in is 1 PM and were told our room wasn't ready due to staff calling in sick. We were told we could not be given keys and there was no ETA on getting them. There was no apology or consideration. We were told to go get dinner. We had already eaten so we waited for our room. We got into a room around 7 PM and there was no AC running in the room. It was an oven in the room and it was 90 degrees out.Additionally, feces and urine were in the outdoor hallway. When we got into the room it wasn't clean and had feces on the floor of the bathroom. The manager brought us a box fan to use because our room was so unbearably hot. We were told to bring the fan back in the AM so that their staff could use it. We were headed out at 5 AM AM and attempted to drop off the fan, but no one was at the front desk. We brought the fan back to the room so it would not get stolen. When we got back to the Motel at 5 PM later that second day and requested a room with working AC. We were told there were none. At that point we were totally fed up and requested a refund and were looking at staying somewhere else. We were told that since it was after 5 PM that we could not receive a refund, but that they would make an exception.Save yourself time, money and your health and stay somewhere else.
MoreWe encountered the worst experience with a rude, unprofessional check in clerk. The mountain of errors and lack of communication definitely put us off from going back to Motel 6 in Springfield, Oregon.First off, I would like to say the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the cleaning staff was very friendly and prompt when we asked for a second pillow. As far as our dissatisfaction, allow me to explain the situation and circumstances. We made the reservation weeks in advance and had explained we needed a downstairs room, we have a large well-behaved dog, my husband is disabled and requires a cane to walk, he cannot do stairs And we were coming to town for his eye to be operated on. This was very clear when making the reservations! We showed up after his eye surgery right around check in time (3 o’clock hour), I started the check in process and was told my husband had to come in and show his ID, my 76 year old husband came in eye patched up and using his cane, showed his ID and I continued on with the reservation, gave her my card (which was already on file), took the paperwork, room key card, WiFi, etc. she handed me at which time I notice room began with a 2, I asked if the room was upstairs and she said Yes. I then informed her this was not what we asked for. She was obviously unhappy with my displeasure and rudely told me they were low on clean sheets. I told her no problem we will wait for a downstairs room, she said she could not quarantine us a downstairs room. When I asked her to check her computer to see if someone had checked out of a downstairs room, I was told that is not possible, when I suggested she call room maintenance to see if they were working on any … I believe you have the idea, this was a completely unpleasant, unprofessional, clearly not wanting to help or understand my concerns, it was an ugly experience! I then told her to please cancel the room that we were going to go elsewhere. I was then informed that she could not guarantee that we would get our money back and if it was approved it would be 3 to 5 days! My husband and I are on SSI and cannot afford to have our money tied up like that or worse yet, not be reimbursed. So we opted to stay, I asked about an elevator and was told there was none (I could hear the one the staff was using). I had to carefully walk my husband up the stairs to the room, come back down for the dog and make third trip for overnight bag. Completely Rude to not offer any help. Laura, the check in clerk is easily in her 30’s and it makes me wonder how she would feel if someone treated her parents and/or grandparents the way she treated us.Needless to say we have No intentions of staying there again!
MoreMy said the motel sex was enjoyable and convenient. Price was great. Rooms were clean. Staff was very attentive and helpful and the freeway is right next to the motel which is annoying but overall nice day was great. Dennys is right next-door get a discount if you show them your key card and the convenient stores are nearby Front desk guy was awesome. I think he was the manager, but he was really helpful and funny.
