tripadvisorWe had eaten at Big Texan when traveling thru Amarillo on numerous occasions. Our latest stop will be the last. Food was a disaster. Steak was tough. Chicken Fry Steak tasted like cardboard. Mashed potato and gravy had no flavor. Okra was cold and too much batter. 4 at dinner and to a man, we will never be back. Everybody's food was substandard. On positive side, waitress was prompt, pleasant, and provided good service. Save your money/Big Texan food is a waste of money. The waitress got the place a score of 1. Otherwise, less than zero
MoreRidiculous customer service , very cheap steaks quality , you have to wait for you order an eternity , NO GOOD BEER , only SCRAP local BEER , PLACE TO AVOID , it's only a TOURIST TRAP , DON'T LOOSE YOU MONEY .

MoreBeen there done that now, won’t be back. Food was okay but there are better steakhouses. My hubby couldn’t get a well done steak, had to send it back the first time as it was blood rare inside, still only medium when he got it and too hungry to wait longer, I had the ribs, they too came medium rare. Texas fries are just fries, coleslaw was bland. And it’s expensive for what you get. After we ordered two guys next to us who were just leaving, said we’d be disappointed, they won’t be back either.
