I just saw the San Francisco Symphony perform with Michael Tilson Thomas conducting in his final year with SFS. Tickets were scarce, and I wanted to be able to see the faces of MTT and his troupe, so I sprang for top cost best available. It was my first visit to Mondavi Center, and I was very impressed. The venue is lovely, and the amenities are excellent. The seats are larger and more comfortable than Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco, and there is no bad seat that I could see. I am happy that I sprang for the high end seat I got, but I also now know that I don't need to do that in the future, any seat would be good.

The Center is very beautiful and modern. The sound is great, but the seating is very tight and close to the row in front., The distance from the stage to the balcony areas is long, so bring opera glasses. Parking is good, but taxi service is limited.

A- I have RLS. Female Usher was rude to me, starring me down while I stood by the exit door against the wall.

We attended a concert performing classical music and really enjoyed the experience. Parking was easy, and the center very nice.

This is such a great venue. I do wish that they would have more variety in their shows, to reach all ages. We have seen some really good shows here but honestly there are only a few that we are interested enough to pay the price. We would love it if they had some more modern jazz, R&B, and even hip-hop. We are lucky to have this in Davis!
