We used to go to the veteran's park , there is a dog park. However we found this place and finally took our puppy there. The park is good size, not many people there so puppy got a good work out lol. Yes the only thing bothered me was the recycle center near it, we sometimes take trash there but I didn't know it was like right next to it...

Maybe it's alright as a dog park and a baseball park and a soccer field, but for a picnic you might as well go to walmart parking lot . A couple of tables under a pavilion 1 foot from the parking lot . We didn't even get out of the car . It did have a good view of the dump.

If this place were located anywhere else it would be great. I don't like it because of what's located near.

My girlfriend and I frequent this park to walk and socialize our two dogs. I've been visiting this park for about 10 years now. They have a great fenced in dog park, a large section for bigger, more active dogs, and a smaller fenced in area for small or shy dogs. But, the real attraction at this park is the walking trails.They have an on lead area where you can walk your dogs for up to about 2 miles on trails which traverse several types of natural ecosystems. There are 4 trails in total which can be combined or omitted to provide the distance you desire. There is also a scenic pond which can be encircled if you'd prefer to stay out of the woods.This is a great park and should be used as a model for all dog parks. *** A couple caveats, the bathrooms are over on the ball field, playground side of the park. These are a distance away from the dog park and this is something that should be considered before unloading your dog or embarking on a trip through the woods. Also, please follow the Pack it in/Pack it out rule and haul out your own trash and pick up after your pet. There is no one picking up after you here. It would be great to keep this a nice resource for all.

Clean, playground area, & baseball fields. Nice baseball league for kids. Quiet area of open space. No long trails to walk.
