tripadvisorI booked a walking dog tour with Charleston Finest Historic Tours and late that night I was sent this cancellation message: ' Alan, we had to cancel our tour tomorrow because of mechanical problem. I will refund your ticket thru Tix. Call: Grayline or Adventure Tours may be able to take you. Thanks, Jo' I am guessing they cancelled due to not enough interest as I can't possibly figure what 'mechanical problems' have to do with a walking tour. It left me scrambling at the last minute for another tour. Welcome to Charleston!
MoreThis trip covered what we wanted to see at Magnolia Plantation, however, we have never felt so rushed and I'll informed. A good buy, saved us driving and covered the basic Plantation experience. However, wished we had skipped what Will suggested when we arrived. Should have headed around the house to the river and explored more of the garden. Tour guide is just too much chatter on the bus and rushing patrons back onto the bus. Magnolia Plantation Audubon swamp tram and House tour guides were excellent and we enjoyed both greatly.
MoreMy wife and I took the combined all-day Charleston City Tour and Magnolia Plantation Tour. Our guide is named Will, and he did a terrific job for us. From the time he picked us up at our hotel until he dropped us off we had a fun and interesting experience. I highly recommend both this company and this guide to anyone who wants to learn a great deal about Charleston history, architecture, and property values in a compressed period of time. We were fortunate to have done this on our first day. The knowledge we acquired gave the balance of our stay direction and insight. By all means try the City Tour at the very least, and ask for Will. He was extremely well informed and fun to be with.
MoreWill was an amazing tour guide. His knowledge and humor was greatly appreciated. We did the historic downtown and Mansion combination tour. Certainly a good way to get a feel for the city as well as visit Magnolia Plantation. While the azaleas were past peak, it was still a great visit. The gardens and outlying areas were very entertaining.
MoreThe city tour was so informative and the Magnolia Plantation tour was fun. But the best part was our tour guide, Will. He really knew his info and kept us entertained the whole day. Thank you,Will for a great time.
