Cascades Theater Theater

CTC is the only theatre in Central Oregon that is entirely volunteer-based. While a skeleton staff of two manages the organization's day-to-day operations, all productions are directed, acted, designed, built and painted by volunteers. Those with a wealth of experience teach those with little or none. It s a rare production at CTC that doesn't feature at least one new face onstage or backstage and more often than not the new volunteers have just as much to offer.CTC presents five full-length, Mainstage productions yearly, with 14 performances each. CTC often offers additional presentations such as dramatic readings, a limited run of a play or a late night studio production of cutting-edge theatre. CTC was the 'parent company' to The Bend Theatre for Young People and The Children's Music Theatre Group. These groups are specialized for the teaching and performance of theatre by children of all school ages.Volunteer: Cascades Theatrical Company, 2nd Street Theater, Circle Bar B Dinner Theatre, Seaside Theatre Company, Santa Barbara Little Theater

Most of the plays and musicals are well done. There have been a couple over the top. However -- the service is rotten -- emails don't get responses for over a week, phone calls take days to be returned, and my account is still not fixed after 3 years.

This theater company is in its 39th year and is small intimate live theater. Tickets can be bought online and picked up at will call just as you enter the front door. The chairs are very comfortable and lots of leg room. Ushers will show you to your seat if you are unfamiliar with the theater. The actors do not wear microphones so someone with a hearing disability should try to sit near the front. Each seat has a great view.
