We booked a sunset Tour on the Spike Africa after meeting a couple who had done it and said it was the highlight of their trip. I absolutely agree with them! We packed up some sandwiches and some beers to eat during our sail. Kenny and crew were incredible. Very engaging and fun. We saw some wildlife up close and personal, met some great people and they let passengers take turns steering as well as getting the sails up. The boat is rich in history and she is beautiful! I am so glad we decided to book this sail. The price is extremely affordable and you get an absolutely amazing view of the sunset! Do not hesitate to book a trip with them, it will be the highlight of your stay on the islands!

I went out on Spike Africa on a full day sail. The Crew was excellent and very informative about the history of the boat along with knowledge about the area, including the wildlife. They were also very friendly and interacted with all passengers during the entirety of the sail. During the sail, passengers were given the opportunity to raise the sails and steer the boat. There was a good amount of wind which made the experience even better. We went out into the Strait of Juan De Fuca where we encountered wildlife such as minke whales and seals, and then headed back to Friday Harbor.

We had booked a sunset cruise for four people. We arrived and were told they did not have a reservation for us. They told us to leave instead of respecting our time we were turned away. They had booked us on the wrong date Very incompetent.

My husband and I just spent a few days in Friday Harbor. One evening we took the sunset cruise on the Spike Africa. It was a wonderful time. The crew was so helpful and friendly. The captain spotted 5 orca whales. We would highly recommend this tour.

We went out for a great full day sail in mid June with Capt. Kenny. He was very nice and knowledgeable. We had our toddler with us and he had a great time too. This was the highlight of our trip, can't recommend it enough.
