**For the price** this hotel was very reasonable. The pool was spacious. A hot tub is under construction. They gave us a sheet at check-in of improvements they are still working on. Our room had been recently renovated, it seemed. The info sheet said more decor such as area rug, etc. was forthcoming. We couldn't connect to wifi but improved wifi network was listed as a project in progress. My only issue was the room seemed a bit muggy/damp at check-in, but it is Florida, so this seemed to be as expected and the AC unit had a dry mode which seemed to be cool+dehumidifier so this quickly improved the humidity in the room. Parking was close by and the desk attendant was polite and helpful at check-in. At the time of our visit, the pool stayed open until 11 p.m. When the hot tub gets finished up, this will be a super-nice amenity. My advice would be to have reasonable expectations based on the price, call ahead to verify status of wifi, hot tub, and any other works in progress. The drive to Universal was about 25 minutes in traffic.

This hotel is simply not ready to be open to the public.We stayed for five days and the number of issues was unacceptable. There was no WiFi and no cable TV, and we had no housekeeping at all for the entire five-day stay because the hotel was so understaffed.The air conditioning in the lobby wasn’t working, the lift was broken, and both the restaurant and bar were closed due to a lack of staff, leaving very few of the facilities you would reasonably expect from a functioning hotel.More concerningly, the beds felt damp and our room smelled strongly of damp and mould. This made the room extremely unpleasant to stay in and raised serious concerns about the condition of the accommodation.I understand that hotels can experience occasional maintenance or staffing problems, but this was not one isolated issue. Basic services and facilities simply weren’t available across the hotel.Guests are paying for a fully operational hotel, and that is not what we received. In its current condition, I do not believe this hotel should be accepting paying guests. It needs significant work, adequate staffing and its basic facilities restored before it can reasonably be considered ready for the public.A very disappointing stay and not remotely the standard we expected.

Worth booking for the Great location. This hotel is than 15 minutes from all the Disney parks. The front desk was very kind and welcoming. The room is a bit dated and the lighting needs to be updated as it is only lamps in the bedroom. The shower took a while to warm up but if you are patient it will get very hot. It does smell a bit like mildew but hard to find a hotel in Florida that doesn’t. If you are looking for a fairly clean cheap place to stay this is perfect for you. The WiFi was down when we stayed here but for us that wasnt a problem but o could see how for some people that could have been a major issue. Overall nice, cheap, decent pool, nice staff, and GREAT location.

This was no way by any means IHG quality. They have a very long way to go. The first room they put us in ( we are diamond elite) on the first floor they lock didn’t work so we had to switch rooms again on the first floor bc the elevator didn’t work and this was a motel prior so it has very unsafe outside facing doors with steps on the side. Like a motel 6. Also not in a great neighborhood. Icon Park is across the street and at night the music coming from the amusement park sounded like it was a nightclub next door. The toilet didn’t flush upon first walk thru of the room. It smelled of musty odor. The TV was mounted incorrectly it was tilted to the left 35 degrees. The water was lukewarm warm not hot. I made management aware and they gave me 25,000 pts for the inconvenience

Rough stay for this diamond elite guest. It’s a motel not a hotel. Not to mention a very old motel that has been only moderately renovated. The restaurant if you want to call it that was horrible. Closed for some meals with an extremely limited menu. You can’t cook an egg to order? You can’t cook a cheeseburger to order? We stayed in several Vocos throughout Asia and Europe. Sorry but I’m shocked IHG has agreed to put the Voco name on this place. Wish you all the best but you really need to conduct a full review of every aspect of this place. IHG should come in also and give you guys some advice on how to meet the Voco name. Virtually no power outlets in the lobby if you want to call it that. Not at all a welcoming hotel like the other Vocos we have stayed at. Sorry y’all. This place should be a days inn or maybe it was?!!
