Island Books is more than a bookstore. It has local artisan jewelry, sustainable products, games, and other fun gifts. They will wrap your gift for free and even give you a fun selection of wrapping paper. Their suggested reading section is great and everything is well organized. It is a treasure!

Island Books has been an icon of the Mercer Island community for 45 years. It is more of a community center than the actual community center on the island. It is the single best bookstore in Seattle with a staff that knows and loves each and every title on the shelves. A terrific children's book section as well as many interesting staff picks. Free gift wrapping and shipping make it the one stop shop for all holiday gifts. Highly recommend!
