tripadvisorI live in LA so not a tourist per se, but I just saw their newest production today and it made me think that not enough out-of-town visitors with kids know about this place or carve out the time to see a show here especially if they're in town to visit the big kids attractions . This place is an absolute cultural institution and gem and is guaranteed to put a smile on any person's face ages 2 to 100. The level of skill and showmanship and just the awesome organic, analog-ness of it all is something that is becoming so rare in the age of overstimulating digital children's entertainment. Got kids? This will be one of the highlights of your tip. And shhhh... there's surprise ice cream after show.
MoreTook the family and surprised the granddaughters. All of the children that attended seemed to have a wonderful time which made the adults happy. The puppets are able to tell stories through the movements of skilled puppeteers. Overall a great experience and everyone gets ice cream at the end of the show.
MoreWe took our 2 year old granddaughter to the Halloween Spooktacular - it was wonderful! Children from 10 months to 12 years old were riveted, and all of the grown up loved it, as well! The puppeteers are world class. we plan on going back for their Holiday show.
MoreHate that it took so long for us to actually go see a show. Now, we are big fans. After seeing the Nutcracker in Pasadena and a revival of the original show at their new home theater, we cannot wait to see more shows. The talent and artistry of the team is incredible. The shows are engaging, fun and they interact with the audience. Parking is street parking, but was not bad to find in the area. The shows are great for all ages. Well worth seeing.
MoreYou must visit this magical place, especially if you are visiting LA with kids. It's truly amazing. We went there at 7pm on Monday and my 4yr old was sleepy and tired when we arrived. As the show started he was fully energized and was enjoying all the performances. Lots of laughing, clapping, singing. Cherry on the top is the special treat after the show. Call them in advance to make a reservation. Fee is steep but trust me it's worth every penny and more. Parking was $5
