tripadvisorBEWARE OF THIS HOTEL! Absolutely Disgraceful Management!Where do I even begin? My wife and I checked into this hotel with our service animal to celebrate our anniversary. We had been staying there for three days without a single issue. Our service animal was well-behaved, and nobody raised any concerns upon our arrival or during the first few days of our stay. Then, out of nowhere, a manager decided to go on a complete power trip.He knocked on our door and demanded that we leave the hotel. He refused to even look at our service animal documentation or hear our explanation. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he immediately threatened to call security and have us forcibly removed.I've never experienced such disrespectful, hostile, and humiliating treatment from hotel management in my life.We were essentially thrown out onto a busy street with nowhere to go, in the middle of what was supposed to be a special anniversary celebration. What makes this even more disturbing is the complete lack of compassion, professionalism, and respect shown toward guests traveling with a service animal. For a hotel that charges premium prices, you would expect premium hospitality. Instead, we experienced intimidation, threats, and management that seemed more interested in exercising authority than resolving a situation respectfully.Any hotel willing to treat paying guests this way, especially guests with disabilities who rely on service animals, does not deserve your business.I have stayed at many hotels over the years, and this was by far one of the most appalling experiences I've ever had.Save your money, protect your peace, and stay somewhere that actually respects its guests.Absolutely unacceptable. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
MoreSomewhat hard to believe I paid over $700 to stay here - even if over a holiday weekend. There is no parking on site and no service whatsoever; you check yourself in, activate your own keycard, and simply hope for the best. The iPad that controls every room feature (TV, lighting, climate, etc.) is old and the charger stopped working some time before I checked in, so the controls simply were not accessible. The room boasts soundproof glass, but reader, my tenth floor room was not soundproof; if you didn’t know, Spotify has a ten hour white noise playlist, which got me through this unbearable night. The window shades were broken and noisy and you can hear when your neighbors are raising/lowering them.
MoreExpensive, minimalist, barely functional for 2. Underwhelming. There’s no luggage rack and no furniture and no table, luggage goes on the floor like your at your friends college apartment. No power outlet on one side of the bed. The reading lamp is poorly made and poorly aimed. Room is Clean, quiet, relatively comfortable. Small. There’s little dividing the bathroom from the sleeping area, the sliding door is noisy . In the flip side, the reception staff is friendly, the lobby is comfortable and upbeat with games and a bar. Again staff is amazing. Overall vibe is urban fun, very busy and eclectic decor there. The room is so overpriced and under featured. They don’t even provide a drinking glass in the room, you have to carry it from the hang out space. Underwhelming.
MoreThe whole experience was great. The room was clean and the view was nice even from a lower floor. Being centrally located made everything way easier to find and navigate. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Joel the bartender!! He contributed a lot to the overall vibes and atmosphere of the bar. The service was amazing and he had great recommendations for things around the area. Ask for Joel if you can!
MoreGreat hotel. Everything worked well, the rooms were clean and quiet, and the views of the city were amazing. Sophia at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful, probably one of the nicest people I’ve encountered in all my travels. Most of the city was sold out during our stay, but the room rates here were still very reasonable. The lobby has a cool vibe, with a patio and bar overlooking the city. The location is also great, especially for visiting the North End and downtown.Overall, a great stay and I’d definitely stay here again.
