University Village, an outdoor shopping center, is more than your usual strip mall. Pleasant surroundings with fountains, park benches and lovely hanging potted plants make the shopping experience very pleasant. The village area is evenly split between local shops and large retail stores. You'll find The Gap, Abercrombie and Fitch, as well as home outfitters such as Pottery Barn and Eddie Bauer Home.
