This room was obviously designed y someone who actually stayed overnight in it because it has everything required for a comfortable stay. In addition to a desk with an ergonomic chair, there is a sitting chair which is actually comfortable. There are night tables with lamps on both sides of the bed and an alarm clock with USB outlets In contrast to the latest fashion, the room contains an actual closet. Not only is tbere sufficient lighting, but the switches’ functions are self evident. There is a full length mirror and best of all, the bathroom, which has a tub in lieu of a shower, has enough light to apply makeup and contains plenty of shelving for toiletries. However, I do have one wish: for packets of green tea next to the kettle.

I booked this hotel out of necessity after my flights were diverted due to the hurricanes. When I was informed that I might be able to return home earlier than expected, I contacted Hotels.com to ask whether my reservation could be canceled without penalty given the circumstances.Hotels.com submitted a waiver request and explained that approval would be at the hotel manager’s discretion. Unfortunately, when Hotels.com and I contacted the hotel, my request was denied, and I was charged for the first night. What made this experience even more frustrating was the lack of communication and customer service. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was directed to voicemail and told that the manager was not even in the office to make the decision. Since then, I have still not received any follow-up from management.I completely understand enforcing cancellation policies when someone simply changes their mind about a trip. However, flight diversions caused by hurricanes are circumstances outside a traveler’s control. I was not asking for special treatment without reason; I was asking for some understanding and flexibility during an unexpected travel disruption.Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling that collecting the cancellation fee mattered more than providing reasonable customer service. The lack of compassion, accountability, and follow-up was extremely disappointing.Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering this hotel in Seattle to think twice before booking. Unexpected travel disruptions can happen to anyone, and how a hotel treats guests during those situations speaks volumes about its approach to hospitality.I would not recommend this hotel based on the way my situation was handled.

The Belltown Inn ended up being a great find for Seattle. I was expecting something a little smaller or more basic because the price was so reasonable, but the room was actually very comfortable and had everything I needed. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room had both a microwave and refrigerator, which was perfect for storing travel snacks and reheating leftovers. The room itself was on the smaller side, but there was still plenty of space for me to open my suitcase and move around comfortably, so it worked really well as a solo traveler.Check-in was completely smooth, everything in the room worked well, and the hotel also had a nice patio and rooftop area. There’s only one elevator, but once I realized the stairs were right there, I just used those most of the time and never had an issue. The location was probably the biggest highlight. Belltown sits in a really convenient spot between Pike Place Market and Seattle Center, so I was able to walk easily to the Space Needle, museums, the waterfront, restaurants, and plenty of other places around the city. For the price, location, and comfort, I thought it was an excellent value and a really great place to stay in Seattle.

At first, I was hesitant to stay at this place due to TripAdvisor and Google reviews. But, the area is pretty well traveled and walking distance to Pike Place (10 mins). They do not serve breakfast BUT they have coffee available in the lobby from 6a to 12p, i think, in addition to your nespresso machine in your room. Yes, there are homeless people around the area BUT not as much compared to SF Downtown or Sacramento Downtown. The place is clean, compared to the IHGs we stayed at throughout our trip from CA, to Flagstaff AZ, Oklahoma City OK, Peachtree GA, Springfield MO, Twinfalls ID. Belltown is literally next to Bisquits and bi*** cafe which is a plus if you want breakfast early in the morning. I just wanted to note, if you decide to stay at this hotel, call them directly, you might get addt'l discounts. I also wanted to thank the manager yesterday, our checkout date was this morning but we decided to leave early. Other hotels would charge you for the evening you didn't use, but they were able to give us discounts for checking out early. One last thing, I wish my room was facing the Pike Place so I can see the lights in the evening BUT after driving 14+ hours, we arrived earlier than the check-in time and they were able to accommodate us a room right away.Noise level, being nearby Pike Place, there will be sirens. The atmosphere, in the beginning there were staff talking among themselves, while you're standing in front of them and failed to acknowledge you, which was a bit disrespectful, but when another staff helped us, that annoyance went away. The inside is pretty quaint. I sincerely would like to thank all the staff of Belltown Inn.
