Located at the heart of the Jersey City, the New Jersey National Guard Armory has been a long serving headquarter of the States National Guard under the New Jersey Department of Military and Veteran Affairs. The building was constructed in the year 1937 and covers approximately 175,000 square foot over 3 floors of magnificent Renaissance architecture. Apart from being a military training facility, the Armory has been host to various boxing events in the past. After massive renovations in the year 1998, the armory provides state-of-the-art facilities like a basketball arena, running track, etc. that serves as a perfect avenue for sporting enthusiasts.
